Getting Your Business Noticed With A Corporate Christmas Card

from:

In today’s competitive and lean business climate, it may seem foolhardy to waste money on something as traditional as a corporate Christmas card. Nothing could be further from the truth. Corporate business cards have proven time and again to promote customer loyalty and strengthen the company’s marketing and brand. They are a strategic marketing tool and one that is tried and true.

Large corporations send a corporate Christmas card as a thank you for prior client’s loyalty and a reminder that they are still available to serve their needs. The bigger the client the more personalized the message might be. Getting your name in front of a customer repeatedly is a time-honored technique in marketing to generate future sales even when that client may be years old. Like a sales follow-up call, the corporate Christmas card keeps corporations and businesses in touch with their clients in a warm and congenial relationship.

New businesses in particular can start building a client mailing list the first year they are in business. With this list, they can target reminders during specific holidays, especially Christmas. This is a wonderful way to network and market a new business; especially one offering a service that may not be as well known or accepted as others.

Buyers have short attention spans and even poorer memories. They may have been pleased with your services, but misplaced your contact information throughout the year. A corporate Christmas card is a great idea for small businesses that provide services annually as well. Examples of these types of businesses that can benefit in reminding their customer’s of their continued commitment to quality service with a homey feel are:

* Landscape services
* Pest services
* Home appliance repair services
* Cleaning services
* Plumbing services

Other businesses that do not provide annual services but that need to network with previous clients who may need their services again in the future include:

* Moving services
* Real estate agents
* Loan officers
* Roofing companies
* Tutorial services
* Employment recruiters

Large corporations also use Christmas cards for branding purposes. They can include a logo and a small greeting reminding their clients of the types of services they provided throughout the year.

In addition, a corporate Christmas card provides a sense of family to employees during the holidays. Some companies have the annual employee photo shoot, which can be added to the corporate Christmas card that gets sent to its employees. Many corporations save on mailing simply by using interoffice mail or allowing supervisors to distribute Christmas greetings within their group. However, it is done, corporate Christmas greetings are a wonderful way to generate loyalty and commitment in employees and customers alike.
